Photo news of the month
... Time for the White-headed pigeon pairs (Columba leucomela) to start their nest building. They are mostly common in the Rainforests and find plenty of good habitat on the property. Much larger than 'city pigeons', upto 40 cms or 16" long, they're not the most graceful of birds and often make quite a racket as they crash around in the undergrowth. They communicate with a distinctive slow mournful 'coo-ing'.
